Dwarf White, Trichorhina tomentosa, lives in the substrate rather than on the surface. The soil needs to stay damp all the way through, not flooded, with leaf litter on top. A dry crust is the usual way a culture fades.
They work decaying leaves, wood, and fine organic matter in the soil. A light protein dusting and calcium help. Do not bury the culture in fresh food.
This species can reproduce from females alone, so a culture may grow without a search for males. Growth still depends on moisture. No count from this shop is recorded.
A bioactive soil worker for a humid setup, and a reasonable first culture if the substrate will stay damp. A poor choice if the goal is a large isopod you can watch on bark.
The price is for one isopod. Choose a count, then pay at checkout. Stripe test mode accepts 4242 4242 4242 4242 and does not charge a real card.
