Habitat
Armadillidium gestroi is a rounded Mediterranean roller. It wants a gradient, not a swamp: damp moss on one side, drier soil and bark on the other, and enough air that the bin does not smell sweet. They often sit under cork in the day.
Diet
Leaf litter and wood, a calcium source, and only light supplemental food. They are not as protein-driven as Porcellio laevis.
Breeding
A display Armadillidium usually builds slower than a scaber or a powder. No brood size is logged for this gestroi colony.
A good fit
A handsome roller for a keeper past the first bin. Better as a display than as the only cleanup crew in a very wet tank.
