Lottery

Listed under this shop name. A species note has not been added yet.

$2 per isopod

How many1

No set pack size. A new colony usually does better with several animals than with one.

Habitat

Lottery, as distinct from Lottery (scaber), is the variable-pattern line under this shop name. Give a moisture gradient, hides, and leaves so the group can sort itself. Do not keep it swamp-wet just because some animals look like Cubaris.

Diet

A shared leaf-litter diet, calcium, and modest extras. Faster individuals will find food first, so do not keep adding until the shy ones have a chance at the leaves.

Breeding

The point of a lottery line is that offspring vary. It is a poor project if you need one repeatable pattern. No brood count is kept.

A good fit

Fun if you like surprises. Wrong if you are matching one species to one enclosure.
